One of the five burglaries committed in Dalkey was a distraction crime. Homeowners are warned not to allow unknown callers entry to the house and always check ID if in doubt. Continue to remain alert for scam messages and calls on mobiles and never return calls from unknown numbers. Instead, allow calls to go to voicemail and check its authenticity there.
